Maddie grew up in the 90's and watched a lot of Nickelodeon cartoons. People say too much TV will rot your brain and it's probably true. But in fact, it made Maddie's brain the storyteller and artist she is today. She drew funny characters from her favorite shows. Then she started drawing her own characters and making comics for fun.
There were a lot of times she could have quit. Especially from feeling like her drawings "weren't even that good. She knew kids who were WAY BETTER at it than she was. Fortunately, she *KAPOWED* that doubt right to the moon and kept drawing anyway. Smell ya later, Doubt.
Eventually drawing became her job. Like, a real life grown-up job with dollar bucks. Now she gets paid to write and draw funny things. Like this farting cat:

When she was younger, she thought that being a girl meant being cute, and sweet. Not wild or wacky. Well, she was WRONG. Girls can do whatever they want, make whatever they want, and BE whatever they want. Maddie celebrates being a funny female artist and isn't afraid to wave her wacky flag both on and off the page.
RELEASE THE INNER WONDER OF WACKINESS!!!
She went on to become a best-selling author and has made A LOT of books. Her favorite part of her job is sharing them all with you. The YOU reading this right now. (AW.)
When Maddie isn't making books or thinking about food, she's usually found playing with her human- daughter, Birdie. For more about Maddie, find out what she's up to on Instagram @HelloMaddieFrost.
